I could have sworn I read that u were able to download the setup and install it on a later date. Just as long as u download the setup while it is the active giveaway, unless specified otherwise. So, point blank; Am i able to download the setup package today and install it in 2 weeks? Also, if so, Was the Premium Booster a software that I had to install as well as download while it was the active giveaway? I could have also sworn that it did not specify that i HAD 2 INSTALL IT THE SAME DAY? I installed 2 days ago, and I only have a 30 day free trial, and I am so bummed out, b/c this is the only one I actually, really wanted as well as needed as well as the only 1 I have installed so far. thanx 4 and if any1 answers my question..... I'm afraid you have to set it up the day the giveaway is running.
More precisely, you have to run the activation the day the giveaway is active ; after you can execute the setup (if distinct) whenever you want, but the registration infos can only be written in the windows registry the said day.
I'm sorry for your premium booster - but giving you the key wouldn't fit with the gotd philosophy. Anyway, keep looking around here : i'm sure you'll find nice other pieces of software to discover and use!:)

All of the giveaways have to be installed and activated before the giveaway expires.
Every single one. Since the Site began.
The readme.txt file always says something along the lines of "You have to install it before the Giveaway offer for the software is over."
Premium Booster has now been offered on three separate dates. Who knows, it could even be offered a fourth time.
Always install (and test) the software before the giveaway expires. If you have problems installing the software after the giveaway is over, there isn't a whole lot any of us can do.

MemberDepending on the structure, it may be possibe to activate the "activate then install" ones on the day, but hold off installing until you need, particularly for some which may need a little persuading to work with what you have.
If you want to install any time, anywhere, without restrictions, then you need to look for actual FREEWARE, not just "free gifts", programs such as Gimp / Gimpshop for graphics, OpenOffice for a whole Office suite in freeware.
There is a whole world of completely unrestricted freeware out there, some of it good, some of it not.

More to the point, without even testing the install to make sure that part works, by leaving it for a few days - you are leaving it until it's too late to fix any problems should they arise.
Sometimes there are issues with the downloaded setup or activate that GOTD needs to fix and you need to redownload. Sometimes if you download early in the 24 hours and try to activate late in the 24 hours - if GOTD has updated the activate.exe - the early one will get an error saying the giveaway has expired.
If the software is something you actually want to use - as opposed to something you are slightly ambivalent about - don't put off installing and testing that it works for you - BEFORE the giveaway ends.
If you leave it for the last hour or few minutes - or activate, then attempt your first setup.exe in a weeks time - and THEN find you have issues - support and fixing your problem will be a lot harder and a lot less likely.
