Installing Adobe's flash player for IE might solve the problem (even if you don't use IE).
Firefox users usually only get to install the FF Flash Player plugin when consulting Adobe's download page.
anyone who likes cats; remember Felix the little computer app?

Tried installing flash player internet explorer and I get a new message
IMO flash related stuff are tricky. If it works, there is nothing better and if it doesn't play there's mostly nothing to be done about it. I have healthy fear of using flash videos in powerpoint presentations. When the presentation has been going well and its time for the flash video to hammer home the point, the thing will just get stuck.

I also had some flash related problems in the past.
The best way to solve them IMHO is using the Flash uninstaller from Adobe...and reinstall Flash Player after rebooting...or you could just wait until the MyFelix devs are addressing the issue with MyFelix.
( I even submitted a request for help at their website.(LOL)Felix the desktop cat

Just got word that they're working on a new version of MyFelix and that they're currently testing a beta.
Apparently the problem only affected some Vista SP2 users.
So stay tuned...I will try to post back when the new version is available.

MyFelix is now purring, too. Thanks, Robert. (I wasn't holding down the mouse button; just being consistent with some of his other tricks.) And it's a good thing, too, as I've just spent 12 days without phone or Internet service! (Don't ask; rumors abound; one whole square mile of businesses and residences in my area were affected. Except those with cable phone and Internet, so I'm finally making the switch.)
So I had Felix, and all my downloaded games, to keep me occupied. And I now know the answer to the question "what would I miss most if I didn't have Internet service?" Access to my public library database, where I'm always reserving and renewing and requesting books. And of course these forums.
Anyway, it's good to be back, but I have my fingers crossed: I'm not sure everything is fixed, and then there's the DSL-to-cable transition still to go...

Delilah, I've got everything on cable, phones, internet, and TV and am glad I do. Even if the power goes out, I've still got the cable voice mail to get all my messages. I did get a back up battery for the phone modem in case the power does go out so I can still make calls if needed.

Revive the little rascal either by double-clicking or right-clicking the icon and make sure 'show Felix' is ticked.Well, that's how it should work ...

Thanks.
I downloaded the applet; but couldn't get it to run properly on my PC (Windows 7 , 32-bit). I'll give it another try later.Posted 11 years ago #
