Hi Gimm,I am just using this as a back-up scanner only now as It does seem to do a good job at finding things that others miss, even if they are false positives I would rather have them flagged and be able to check for myself than not,I have put a file in the ignore list so when it updates next time I can see if it is still there as I cant let all my items disapear again,I have a funny feeling that it will happen that way again for some reason.I did a new scan and the files i had in ignore last time got flagged again but the ones i had in quarintine were no where to be found.

hey gimm, here's what the false positives were on 3 machines i used this on; on a compaq & HP it flagged a couple of items called recguard, which is an HP file back-up program (service). also it deleted a service driver for a lexmark all-in-one printer which most ALL disk cleaners and spyware removers have tried to quarantine/remove over the years.... also theres an hp service for on-line help ( i can't remeber the name right now) that this program and others ALL call a back door, but it really isn't...there were a couple of more but removal of these certainly DID NOT hose the 3 puters, but i did have to REPAIR/replace them from the application & driver recovery program or by re-installing from original install cd from lexmark/compaq/dell.... here is what i do when i use a new program like this : search out these services/running @ start-up programs & drivers BEFORE removing/stopping service at these TWO sites, at least:
http://www.lafn.org/webconnect/mentor/startup/PENINDEX.HTM
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/startups/
SECONDLY, since i have ALWAYS used programs like spybot s&d, superantispyware (i love the "scan selected file" this program puts on right click just like the anti-virus programs do for scanning selected files) , ad aware and spyware blaster along with doin ALL microsoft updates and DAILY updated antivirus protections..... SO i'm pretty darn sure there are no REAL nasties only tracking cookies and these false positives.... i just add all these items to the EXCLUSION list on the ORIGINAL scans, and then the items don't get flagged/removed. hope this helps, tom

==========Please reply above this line==========Dear Tom
This is in reference to the telephonic conversation you had with our support team.
Regarding your query, it seems that you have cleaned the threats so you are not able to un-quarantine or restore the quarantine files.
I suggest that you restore your system settings to an earlier time using System Restore option. To perform system restore, follow the steps below:
1. Click Start, and then click All Programs.
2. Click Accessories, and then click System Tools.
3. Click System Restore, and then click Restore.
4. Select Restore my computer to an earlier time then click Next.
5. From the dates in bold, select a date just prior to your first installation of Advanced System Protector and click Next.
This will start the restoration process, when it is complete, system will reboot and will tell you if the restore was successful or not. In case it says unsuccessful, please select an earlier date than you had chosen and restore again.
After System Restore please install Advanced System Protector using the new setup file.
Download the latest registered version of Advanced System Protector from the URL below:

Double click on the saved setup file to install the product. Now download the updates to the latest definition 182 and scan the system for threats.
However ,if you still face the problem please send us the scan log of Advanced System Protector. To get the scan log, please follow the steps provided below:
1. Run Advanced System Protector.
2. Select ?Quarantine? tab and then click on ?Logs? option in the left panel.
3. Here, select the latest scan by clicking on it. The selected scan would be highlighted.
4. Now, click on the ?Export Log? button to get the log report.
5. Then, select location and give a name to the log file in Save Log dialog.
6. Finally, the file would be saved in ?.html? format at the given location.
Send the Html file saved on your system as an attachment in mail to us.
Please do not hesitate to contact us, should you have further queries.
Regards
