Interestingly enough, Plato DVD won't even load. It installed - all seemed well. It installed an icon on the desktop -- no problems. But no attempt, by any means, to run the program itself seems successful. What might be done at this point?

It's probably of no help to you - but I had the same problem (XP). The "logo" flashes briefly up on the screen for maybe a quarter second, disappears and... well that's about it really.
My chosen course of action was to uninstall. Just thought I would mention - it's not "just you".
It seems (reading through todays comments) several others are getting the "immediate crash" when starting - no error message, just shuts down. Maybe if it is a serious bug that affects several people, GOTD may ask Plato to fix this.

I've got the same problem. I'm running XP MCE 2002 with SP2 installed.
