Started playing this game just enough to have some good old flashbacks to Montezuma's Revenge from the 80's. Got it registered and playing without any problems. Now that I am at the orange castle, I am getting the message "You have paid for the full versions. This is the demo, please go install." Is this the only way to get further in the game? Does it work if you actually install the new 17 MB? I'm on dial up, so hesitant to spend another 3 hours installing more to this game if it doesn't work. Thanks for any help.

Are you playing the version that was available a couple of days ago or the earlier one?

The version that was available a few days ago. I did as told and went to the site to download the last castle. Now I am getting a message saying I have the demo version, and the only thing that will play is the tutorial. Plus, I didn't write down the registration code to enter again. Ideas?

It sounds like you installed another version over your registered (activated) version and now you have the demo again. You'll have to buy the program or wait for it to come around for giveaway again I believe.
I think the update page is misleading in the game because you don't need any updates and GOTD giveaways don't support updates. If you're actually losing your "activation" by updating... then they shouldn't make the update page so prevalent in the game.. in turn making the player think he can get more castles if he gets the "free" update.
I've gotten to all the castles. Works fine. No limitations. But I haven't updated.

Marcym, you might try this, if you haven't deleted your setup from the first time, try running that setup again. Your original activation code may work with the original setup. It's worth a try.:) You won't have the update but perhaps it will restore the game that you have lost.

Yea, don't update.... Sad thing is I really enjoyed this game. If it was "Play four castles for free, then pay to play" they would have gotten my money. The way it worked, I just won't condone misleading people.

Idahl: Tried that. I get a message that says the giveaway is over and I can't install.

The same game is being offered for free on gametops.com, it's called Dungeon Raider, but it is the same game. I've gotten a nice game there called Scara Ball. Haven't had any problem with it. You do get a GameTops page popup when you exit the game(which I feel is fair enough, I have my browser set to dump cookies when I close it:)))If you are on dialup just close the page if you aren't online. If you really enjoyed playing the game, you can get that version and wait and see if GGAOTD reruns the upgrade.

Thanks Idahl. I'll give that a try tomorrow when I can be online for hours again. I hate dial up!!

I know what you mean! I went from cable to dialup this last month...it's like going from lasers to stone knives. I'm going to broadband as soon as possible, I'm sure to appreciate it more after this re-acquaintance with dialup. Everyone who brags in the comments about how fast they have d/l'ed with no mercy for those with dialup, should have a couple of weeks of it just to keep them humble:)))))

I had the exact same problem. After completing one of the castles I hit the link to get the update and it screwed up my game. I wrote to the customer support people at the company that made the game (support@axysoft.com) and told them of my dilemma and asked them would it be possible to purchase the game from them for half price since I already had it free. They agreed and sent me a link where I could get the game for only $10. Then, since I paid for a license, they could give me technical support and they helped me fix the problem. I am now back up and running. Also, their fix was to uninstall the game first. Then go to the directory where it was installed and delete it (default: "C:\Program Files\Azangara\"). Finally, go to their website and download the full game. After doing so it still kept the Giveaway registration and I was on my way.
