Pam, go to mostfun.com, and you will find 200+ games to download/play for unlimited times. You do have to watch brief commercials/ads, intermittently, but they are non-intrusive. I have played several games from there, and enjoy them, and have had no problems, whatsoever. :)

There's a ton of them depending on what kind of game you want. What's your preference?

I would like to play the more popular puzzle games. I enjoyed around the world in 80 days, bejeweled etc. I want games that are challenging and fun.- Thanks

I wish I could be more helpful, but on those type of games I would just be sending you to some sites with no experience behind it. I play them a little when there given away here, but I prefer the first person games, some rpg, and mmorg's.
Fortunately, there are bunch of people on this site that like those same type of games.
I'm positive someone will be on later that will send you to a good one.Sorry, I couldn't be more helpful.

Has anyone here tried the luxor games from mostfun and had success? I downloaded Luxor from there and it did something interesting to my PC such that within a couple minutes of trying to run Luxor programs stopped opening*. Anti-virus etc. found nothing but I had to remove luxor unplayed.
*Right after clicking on Luxor things like ctrl alt delete worked but after a bit nothing not already open worked.

Gwai, I have tried the Luxor games, as well as others, and haven't had any problems with the games opening/working properly, or with viruses/adware/malware :)

Pam i am, go to the gametop site, theres several full version commercial puzzle games for free. The only payment is that when you close the game down each time your browser is opened to the gametop site, though it's not hijacked. All the games are safe . i've downloaded virtually all of them and tested them for malware.

Stephen
p.s there's over 10 match three games and around 60 or 70 other arcade games, all of which are sold commercially elsewhere. They rely upn the advertising on the site to pay for the games. The site gets a green from the Web of Trust rating.

Speaking of gametop, they have me really puzzled. They have a game that I quite like: http://www.gametop.com/online-free-games/rome-puzzle-online/. However, not only can I not download, I also can't play the game all the way through. I thought their games were free, so that is odd. But oddest yet, at the end I don't even get an ad that tells me where to play the game. I get a link to gametop. So where could I, even theoretically play the whole game?

Go to iWin.com - they have over 100 games that are free to play full-screen. The only catch is that you are interrupted by ads periodically, and at the end of play time, they ask if you want to buy the full version or continue playing free. Just check continue playing free and close out of their site. The next time you go back, you pick up your game from where you left off (i.e., game is saved automatically). Have fun.
