I was one of those who hit the enter key too quickly, and Starburn reset my hompage to Rocket division. Now, no matter what I do, I cannot reset my homepage in Firefox, even with having un-installed Starburn and re-installed a newer version. It seems that there must be some more hidden code elsewhere with this sort of action. Any thoughts / help would be appreciated. Am just not seeing the forest for the the trees?

Hi Pat,
I presume that you tried to reset your home page by using Firefox menu: tools, options, main?
Slava found a fix for it and if you go to:
http://blog.giveawayoftheday.com/starburnfirefox-default-page-bug-quick-fix-from-starburn-team/
Follow his instructions, hopefully that might work for you.
Good day,

Thank you, Barry. Even though that file path does not exist on my computer, I'll search for that file.
Thanks again,

Hi Pat,
I see from another post you are still having problems. When you do your search, since the application folder is a hidden folder, go to: start, search, all files and folders, type or paste, user.js, then go to: more advanced options, check both "search hidden files and folders" and "search sub folders" then hit search. Note, my Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles, is in my User folder instead of Administrator. If that file is in your Documents and Settings folder you should be able to find it that way.
Good luck,

Hello Pat - When Barry asked whether you tried to change your homepage via the Firefox options you didn't say yes or no. So my apologies in case I'm being redundant. In Firefox go to the Tools menu > Options > You’ll see a top row of icons (i.e., Main, Tabs, Content, Applications, Privacy, Security, Advanced) click the icon over the word “Main”. You’ll see where you can specify a home page; You can directly type in the address. Do Not select the “Restore to Default” button because you’ll be right back where you’re at now with Starburn as your homepage.
(Quick Tip: Go to the site that you want to use as your homepage, copy the URL from the address bar then go back to the Options and paste it in the home page slot. Saves you from typing if it’s a lengthy URL ;)
