I forgot to change the title of this thread, it should read free Polly Pride Pet Detective, not the Space Buddies. I'm sorry for that. :(
To get the Polly Pride game, you have to download the free game they are giving
away today, and when that page comes up and you can then see the advert.
I'm now going to stand in the naughty corner for an hour and do 1000 lines.....Posted 16 years ago # -
Oh c'mon out, Hallford (lol)... after reading it, it was clear what you meant. So thanks a bunch for posting! I personally steer clear of RA because I don't wanna download their upgrade, which is what happens when you download a game now. I'm happy with the "old" version and don't wanna mess up the 100+ games I've purchased over the years. But to anyone else, this is a great find.

Hi Hallford,
Your wish is our command... well, not really ;-)
Is the new title of this thread what you had in mind?Regards

A g@rgoyle genie! Got any wishes left? *%;-)

Hi Midori,
Sure, but my ceilings are 12 feet high, so could you please dust the lamp when you're up there to rub it? <;-PPosted 16 years ago # -
*peeks out of the naughty corner*
Thankyou g@rgoyle thats what I forgot to change :)Posted 16 years ago # -
Following Robert's instructions, I got the game, and have already played a few rounds/levels. I *was* going to go to bed early, but had read this thread and was downloading, etc. I then decided to give it a whirl; should have known better than to do that...heh heh heh. So much for going to bed early. Well, for *me* it's still going to bed early...hee hee hee.
Sue - the perpetual nightowl, who sometimes actually goes to bed while it is still night time...lol

Sue, that's my problem. I got the game, and started playing right away. Of course time slips away on these!
Posted 16 years ago # -
Yep, Copmom, I know EXACTLY what you mean. Many a night has come and gone where I told myself I was going to go to bed 'early', but wound up staying up MUCH later, just playing games such as Atlantis Quest, Around the World in 80 Days, Pirate Poppers, and on and on...lol.

I go to bed when the Sun...the Dog and the Husband get up, lol.....I do my best gaming in the middle of the night!

I'm another! My hubby harps his best to get me back on HIS schedule, but now that my daughter's in college I've reverted back to my own internal clock. I'm a night thinker. Daytime is so... interruptive. So I like to dream then. &;-)

Hallford thanks for the info!!
I was late getting to it, as I had been playing that free one Bigfish had a few weeks ago; " Haunted Hotel",(which I really LIKED, in spite of the lukewarm reviews around the net)
Any one else play and like it?
Anyhoo, now downloading Polly pride...!
:)Posted 16 years ago # -
I liked Haunted Hotel and for free it was okay by me!
If I go back through all the games I have acquired, lol...must have been my mood at the time...They are like old movies that you haven't seen in awhile...they will keep me happy in my old age!

Yes free is good!
Indeed...very much like old movies..lol!

To Suki: Oh My! Lol! All that over an innocent lil hat. *{}{}]:-o

Me too, Suki. Sometimes I am still up, and will see my son off to work at close to 7 am. Then, or sometime thereafter, I go to bed.
Midori, my husband spent years and years, off and on, doing the same as yours. He finally wised up and accepted that I am just simply a night owl, but with bouts of early-to-bed-ism. I'm supposing it's that, anyway, but after 30 years of marriage, you'd think...lol. We've been married almost 34 years now, and have pretty much come to accept those things about each other, and to pick our battles wisely...lol.
Speaking of Polly Pride Pet Detective, who besides me has completed that game? :D

Me.....but I got it anyway! I had played it through from Shockwave, the sequel stinks in my opinion...we got it in evaluation at RA, speaking of which, they didn't have any this week...I didn't get anything in my in-box, didn't check the site either...
I do have bouts of early sleep, but that's usually after I make a pig of myself at dinner...I still love to cook, but I'm lucky my husband does the dishes!
He wouldn't dare mess with me and my games...otherwise his computer would all of a sudden be password protected! I'm the geek in the family...he doesn't have a clue about computers, but if he couldn't play online poker(free of course)he would have a hissy fit...so I don't get to much crap about playing, just buying...lmao!

Suki, your husband sounds like mine when it comes to computers...lol. We've had computers in our home since the tail end of 1999, with full access to everyone, and he stills knows only a little more than zip about them. He HAS learned how to check his email (to keep in contact with some Navy buddies), check the bank account online, and play a game...from a CD, which he has either me install or our younger son.
The main times I go to bed early is if I've been up all night, and then (for whatever reason) all the next day. BTW, I am impressed your husband does the dishes! Mine thinks doing dishes is a no-no for husbands - but not for sons...lol.
Sue - who just barely got the Ghost game installed in time...heh heh heh

Hi Merri, I played the haunted hotel game as well and am now addicted
to these kind of games....lolPosted 16 years ago # -
I finally got the game.. Gamehouse fixed it and put it my downloads with the unlock code.. I'm sooo happy!!
Posted 16 years ago # -
Hallford..they are VERY appealing(the good ones, anyway..)
aren't they!
I will definitely replay Haunted Hotel for that reason!
Samm, that is great! Enjoy...Polly Pride is amongst the better H.O.G , IMHO!
:)Posted 16 years ago # -
I just started playing Haunted Hotel; so far I like it. It has an interesting storyline that makes you want to keep playing to find out what happens next.
Sue - who is still nursing a head cold....blahhhh
Posted 16 years ago # -
Hi, Sue... hope you feel better soon. I'm still getting over flu-like symptoms with a wicked sore throat. Actually didn't get on my computer for 2 1/2 days straight. Now THAT'S proof that you're REALLY sick. I'm propped up in here now with a heating pad and throat lozenges. Lol! 08-/
Haunted Hotel is a pretty good Hidden Object game... not the best, but intriguing enough to play. The wacky lighting in some of the scenes made things a struggle to find at times, but I did enjoy it. Have fun!
Posted 16 years ago # -
Midori, while I do feel bad, I am no where as sick as you. Mine is sore glands around my neck, ears hurt somewhat, sore throat, sneezing, tiredness...not quite enough for a nap, but enough to just lie around the house. I have been treating myself with homemade soup I happen to have already had made, so didn't have to go buy any, or make some while being sick. I do somewhat my usual computer routine, but have also spent some rest/relax time, watching TV and working on a sewing project.
Those games with dim lighting make it hard on these almost-56 year old eyes of mine...heh heh heh. Kit and Ellis really gave me a time with those flashlight-only levels...lol.
