Works for me on two window OS machines.
No issues.
If you have problems there are answers to things like no camera raw to be found on the internet.
The website for the actions will inform you if it can be used in which programme or which OS.

Whether the actions are *amazing* or not is subjective. P/Shop actions are just a series of editing/adjustment steps recorded into a script, saving you time from usually mundane tasks you'd perform over & over with each new photo. *To me* these would be more useful to very quickly try different looks, but to each their own.
Unzipped the GOTD file, opened P/Shop 2022 [Creative Cloud], & double clicked each .atn file in turn. Opened a .jpg image & tried a few -- worked just fine with no warnings or glitches.

I tried a number of these actions from two different action sets. I keep getting a msg that the camera RAW filter is not available. I am using PS CS6. I guess this give away can't be used or am I missing something?

You might want to look that question up in Affinity Photo's 'Forum' for a newer response but I believe AP has 'macros', which are similar but not the same - therefore Photoshop 'actions' will not work.

Peter, not directly. Recreating actions in macros still seems to be the only method, and that's not an exact science. But for a file under 120 KB that comes with a lifetime license including commercial usage, I will at least hold on to this -- the Affinity team is responsive and active, so who knows, a simple and direct import may happen some day.

Gedas, They should do, they're .atn files regardless of platform you use. It's only 120k to download anyway, so it'd take seconds to try.
