WSHelper.exe is the cause of these popups. I believe it installed with Wondershare DVD Creator recently.
To get rid of, just kill this task in Taskmanager or to more permanently remove:
Start, Run, msconfig
Go to the Startup tab and remove the tick next to Wondershare Studio,
Apply/OK
That'll stop it running and popping up, but it's still there. You can uninstall this 'Helper' program by going to it's program folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Wondershare\
And delete the folder(s)
WSHelper
Wondershare Helper CompactThere is a uninstall exe in these folders, but they didnt work for me.
Whether that breaks Wondershare DVD Creator or the other Wondershare products, I dont know, but they are purely popup apps and dont 'help' anyone but Wondershare.

Wondershare is a popular company with lots of fans, so please don't take it the wrong way when I say I currently don't run any of their video-related software -- with the stuff I've already got I just simply don't have the need. So I went back & restored the GOTD, Wondershare DVD Creator, in my XPMode VM & took a look.
Using Google I found a few references to Wondershare's WSHelper app, including some that said it was responsible for the pop-ups, along with posts that it checked the serial number or key -- if a key's used too many times it allegedly un-registers the app & asks you to buy a license. WSHelper itself is started or run 2 ways -- one is when you start Wondershare DVD Creator, & in that case it closes when you close the DVD Creator app -- it's also added to a HKLM Run key in the registry, & when started that way it does not close with DVD Creator.
AFAIK there's no way to trigger a pop-up with or from Wondershare's DVD Creator, so the only way to verify you stopped them from happening, & didn't effect DVD Creator itself, would be to try whatever & see what happens over time.
The easiest suggestion to stop the pop-ups from occurring when you're doing something else, would be to stop WSHelper from auto-starting with Windows, then verify with Task Mgr. that it did indeed stop once you closed DVD Creator. There are several apps to do that [I prefer Autoruns in this case], or you can simply find the appropriate Run key in the registry & delete that entry [In Regedit I assign a Favorite (like a bookmark) to the 2 or 3 Run keys used by Windows -- HKCU\ Software\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ Run - HKLM\ Software\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ Run - & for 64 bit Windows, HKLM\ Software\ Wow6432Node\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ Run ].
To stop the pop-ups entirely you might try blocking WSHelper.exe with your AV software, or *after making sure it's not running* [using Task Mgr. or similar], renaming the Wondershare folder in the Common Files folder [Windows may allow you to rename a folder when a file(s) in that folder is being used, & in that case it'll usually alter whatever registry entries to show the new path, defeating your purpose]. That is of course assuming that WSHelper is indeed causing the pop-ups, & that DVD Creator runs without complaint if WSHelper doesn't start.
If one of those methods didn't work for you, it's possible changing one or more of the registry entries in the Wondershare software key might do the trick, though you should back up 1st as if/when you're dealing with DRM, sometimes you can trigger changes elsewhere that'll render the app unregistered... there are several entries that would be likely candidates, e.g. "ProductShowRemindInterval".

WShelper is added to startup whenever you launch Wondershare DVD Creator,so removing WShelper from starting up using msconfig won't help.
If you don't want to be notified of promotional offers(lol),the only way to do it seems to be either to rename or delete wshelper (when not running in memory).
Programs such as Anvir Task Manager can be used to auto block the startup entry,...added even when wshelper is missing.
Another option would be to prevent wshelper from connecting to the Internet.
Then again lots of programs seem to use the system notification area to tell you about their special offerings and/or new versions and some of them might prove to be quite interesting...so it's not always a bad thing.
