First attempt at downloading from GOTD after checking in for a few months. I finally saw a program I wanted to install, so I downloaded, no problems. I extracted the files - readme.txt, setup.exe, and setup.gcd as per the readme's instructions. I ran the setup.exe, and it flashes with a window about connecting to verify the giveaway's timeframe, and promptly disappears. It's only detectable by opening a task manager, finding it using no cpu and not changing state in the slightest. I let it go for about 15 minutes and after no developments, I terminated the processes which seem to be linked - "Setup.exe" and "setup.exe" whose only distinguishing features are the capital letter. After being terminated, they bring up a window declaring a successful activation, but there is no software on my system. I've checked that internet explorer is still working while not in "offline mode." Any advice on how to get this program working before the giveaway period is up would be greatly appreciated.

with the new encrypted wrapper your antivirus is eating it about then- quarantine or deletion.

Depending on what AV software you've got installed/running, you may be able to turn off real-time scanning... you *might* search the blog & forum pages for info & other users experiences using whatever you've got as well.
